Our children are our future they will carry the torch that we pass to them. It is our duty and responsibility to protect life at all stages ensuring that they have the opportunity to continue the work that we started. As stated in the Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”  Life is the first unalienable right. An unborn child cannot speak for themself, they need someone to act as voice for them and to protect them ensuring they have the opportunity to grow into adulthood. Abortion robs children of their right to life, liberty and choice. Legislators and citizens first concern should always be the rising generation’s future prosperity and safety. We must ensure their future, as their future is inexorably tied to our future.

I support policies that protect the unborn while also recognizing our responsibility to support mothers, children, and families facing difficult circumstances. Choosing life should be met with compassion, practical assistance, and strong community support.

Women facing unexpected or challenging pregnancies deserve access to resources that provide medical care, counseling, financial assistance, and parenting support. As a community, we should work together to ensure that no woman feels she must face these challenges alone.

Resources available to women with unplanned pregnancies include:

• Pregnancy Resource Centers that offer pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, parenting education, baby supplies, and referrals to community services.

• Adoption Services that provide information about adoption options and connect expectant mothers with licensed adoption agencies and families.

• Maternal and Child Health Programs that help with prenatal care, healthcare coverage, nutrition assistance, and support for mothers and infants.

• Faith-Based and Community Support Organizations that provide counseling, mentoring, childcare assistance, housing support, and other services for mothers and families in need.

Protecting life means supporting both mother and child, strengthening families, and building communities where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
